The C.W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center is a full-service conference, convention, and performing arts facility. As an outreach program of Fort Valley State University, the center serves the conference and convention needs of the area as well as the campus.
Whether accommodating six or 600 participants, serving meal functions or receptions, facilitating classroom meetings or full feature auditorium events, the Pettigrew Center is ready to provide you with full conference, event and convention services at competitive prices.
Opened in the summer of 1987, the C.W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center offers a wide variety of services to all types of organizations for their educational, cultural, civic, and public service needs.
The center’s seven conference rooms can seat groups of up to 300 people in a variety of conference set-ups. Rooms vary in size from a capacity of two and up.
A fully-equipped multi-media room is available with state-of-the-art rear- screen projection facilities, computer access, and satellite down-link capabilities. A complete demonstration kitchen also is available. Each conference room has a computer projection system built in.
The 600-seat performing arts theater can enhance any organization’s large meeting needs. Built-in writing surfaces supplement the comfortable theater seating to provide a highly satisfactory setting for large classes and seminars. The facility lends itself to audio-visual presentations of all types. The high-tech sound system, acoustics, and computerized lighting equipment make the theater one of the finest in the area.
Food service facilities at the center are among the finest of any conference center in the state. From wine and cheese receptions to your most elaborate seated meals, the center has the kitchen facilities to host almost any function.
The center can accommodate up to 260 conference participants in banquet-style dinner meetings. In addition, continental breakfasts, buffet meals, barbeques, sandwiches, soups and salads or formal luncheons can be arranged.
Works by local artists are displayed in a gallery arrangement on a regular basis. The spacious, open lobby area offers a pleasing setting for any function.
The facilities of the C.W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center are available to organizations to host their public or private meetings. Bookings include educational, civic, and theater functions as well as special events. While some of the functions at the center are open to the public, many are hosted by private organizations.
The center’s professional staff is available to help with the planning, scheduling and implementation of programming for your event.
