Fifty years ago, the Class of 1958 graduated from Fort Valley State College (now University). On May 2-3, 2008, members of this class will celebrate their golden reunion by returning back to campus.
Fort Valley State University welcomes the Class of 1958 for a special weekend designed to celebrate their experience, reconnect with classmates, reminisce and see the new campus facilities.
The weekend will begin on Friday morning with a breakfast with the class of ‘2008, a picnic, and a campus tour. The Reunion Dinner and Program will be held Friday night in the Pettigrew Center. You will have the honor of President Larry E. Rivers joining you that evening, and he will give a state of the University update. The dinner will be your opportunity to share memories of your years at FVSC and reminisce about the 50 years that have passed since graduation. There will also be special recognition of the deceased members of the class. Following the dinner and program, music for dancing and entertainment will be provided.
On Saturday, you will participate in the 67th Annual Commencement line of march with members of the graduating class.
