Message from the Dean of Students

Welcome to Fort Valley State University!

We are truly excited to have you join our Wildcat family to pursue your educational endeavors on the collegiate level. The University continues to work hard to maintain a standard of excellence that encourages leadership development, scholarship and service to both the campus and local communities.

The Office of Campus Life which serves under the Division of Student Success strives to provide a student centered educational environment that encourages all students to think critically and creatively. We also nurture students as they develop values and ethics, promote respect for human diversity while empowering them to make responsible choices as part of their healthy emotional, physical and spiritual lifestyle. As part of your collegiate experience at FVSU, you will have an opportunity to explore a variety of extracurricular activities which include student organizations, departmental associations and leadership development. Staff members in the Office of Campus Life are available to assist you with your interests by way of phone (478/825-6292) or feel free to send an e-mail directly to me:

Again, I look forward to having you and other classmates who are among the best and brightest, accomplish your collegiate goals at Fort Valley State University, become proud graduates and productive citizens in society. Keep up the good work!!
