Any middle or high school student in the 6th - 12th grade or who is at least 11 years old and not more than 27 years old. Because an Educational Opportunity Center does not operate in our target counties, we can also provide services to adults who are older than 27 years of age. Veterans regardless of age are also eligible to participate in the Talent Search project if they satisfy the eligibility requirements.
Individuals who plan to be college-bound are eligible if they meet one or both of the following eligibility guidelines:
- A potential first-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a four-year college or university).
- Limited Income
Two-thirds of the program’s participants must be potential first generation college students and have limited income. The other one-third of participants can come from any educational or financial family background (highly educated or high income).
