The Educational Talent Search is designed to encourage disadvantaged young people between the ages of 11 and 18 with potential for postsecondary education to continue in, and graduate from, middle and secondary schools, and to enroll in programs of postsecondary education. Its varied services include: needs assessments; academic counseling; personal counseling; Education and Guidance On-line Resource Center (EGORC); career data information; financial aid assistance; tutoring; cultural enrichment activities; campus orientation/visitation; and other special activities focused on sixth, seventh, and eighth grade participants in nine counties in Central and West Georgia.
