The mission of the Testing Services Center is to provide active learning opportunities designed to improve test-taking skills and to administer state and national admissions exams, the Regents’ Exams, and graduate and professional school exams. Workshops on the Regents’ Reading test are held on selected weekends and graduate and professional school workshops for the PRAXIS/GACE, MAT, GRE, LSAT, and MCAT are conducted during the fall, winter, and spring semesters.
A state of the art Comprehension and Speed Reading and Test Preparation Lab is located on the first floor of the Peabody Building. Students may schedule appointments, design self-remediation plans, and participate in small group or individual tutoring. The Writing lab is located in the Bond Building, and the Math lab is located in the Hubbard Education Building. The former and latter are drop-in labs, and both provide tutorial and test preparation services.
