Student E-mail

In an effort to provide better services, the Office of Information Technology upgraded the student e-mail system in 2006. As a result of this upgrade all students have been provided a new e-mail address. The new system became available on June 1, 2006. On that date, both the old and new e-mail systems were operating in parallel. This afforded students the opportunity to: 1) become familiar with the new system while being able to send and receive e-mail comfortably, 2) forward messages that needed to be moved from the old system to the new system, and 3) inform friends and families of their new e-mail address. The URL (web address) of the Student Email Server is https://webmail.fvsu.edu.

New addresses may be obtained by logging into BANNER WEB (Self-Service Banner) to retrieve your e-mail addresses. Student E-mail password information is available in the Student Email Guide (PDF).

Remember:
1. The old e-mail system has not been available since June 2006.
2. Check you email as often as possible and log in frequently to get vital information that will allow you to stay familiar with the new e-mail system.
