FVSU extends condolences in the loss of Muhammad Ali

(June 4, 2016) – Fort Valley State University extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends and others who mourn the loss of Civil Rights icon, activist and eternal heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali.

We join the world in mourning this inspiring legend who was lauded as the greatest boxer of all time. Ali passed at the age of 74 on June 3, 2016.

Ali became a part of then Fort Valley State College’s history in 1989 when he served as the homecoming parade marshal.
