Responsibilities: 

The department head will report to the Dean and responsibilities will include: (a) departmental coordination and leadership; (b) teaching undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering Technology especially in the areas of Analog and Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Programmable Logic Controllers, Electromagnetic/ Microwaves, and design courses in Electronical Engineering Technology; (c) academic advisement, student recruitment; (d) program development and appropriate research; (e) cultivation of the program’s Industry Advisory Committee, and industry interaction and involvement; (f) other duties as may be assigned. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating of the department’s off-campus evening course offerings at Warner Robins Air Force Base.

Qualifications: 

Earned doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required. A minimum of three years teaching, research and/or industrial experience, preferably in a U.S. university and/or firm is required. The candidate must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching; possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, concerns for leading the department and for developing student technical abilities.
