Assisting researchers in laying out plots both field and greenhouses. Calibrating field equipment, applying herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer. Performing maintenance and repairs of the station’s equipment and vehicles. Performing general carpentry, welding and planting and harvesting various crops. Assisting with the training of students on modern farming practices.
A minimum of two of the last four years working on a farm with row crops, greenhouses, large and small ruminants. Candidate should have knowledge of welding, carpentry, planting, combining and backhoe operation. High School Diploma or GED Required. Drivers License required, CDL preferred.
