The Program Assistant will function in a part time capacity to fulfill the primary objectives of a Title III, part B initiative, entitled “Increasing Student Success through Outreach and Technology.” Also, the coordinator will function as a liaison and clearly communicate (both in writing and orally) the desires of FVSU and Walton County Board of Education. Additionally, the Program Assistant will maintain considerable contact with the public and academically enrich high school students for FVSU dual enrollment program. Furthermore, the Program Assistant will provide reports to the Director of the Public Service Center. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Applicant must have at least a Bachelors degree. Applicant must also possess strong oratory skills in order to facilitate and conduct trainings. Strong customer service, writing and communication skills, the ability to focus on detail, the ability to work with little supervision, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs are necessary. The ideal candidate must have dependable transportation and a deep appreciation for the mission and aspirations of Fort Valley State University.
