The Associate Dean will assume responsibility for program development in conjunction with the Dean and Department Chairs; establish working relationships with the faculty; coordinate work related to PSC/NCATE accreditation; provide leadership in program evaluation and assessment; and, assist with faculty evaluation. The Associate Dean will represent the Dean at committee meetings and other appropriate functions.
Applicants for this position should possess an earned Doctorate Degree in Education; college/university teaching experience; leadership experience; and, excellent teaching skills with three years teaching and/or administration experience in K-12 settings or equivalent. Involvement with NCATE and State Accrediting Agencies is also preferred. Evidence of scholarly professional activities, i.e. Grant writing and other external funding opportunity, publishing and research is desired. Applicant must be qualified to teach education courses at undergraduate and graduate level.
