Responsibilities: 

The Library director is responsible for operational management of the library with fiscal accountability, planning, evaluating of staff, fostering relationships and cooperative agreements with schools, libraries and agencies, educational library programs, collection development in support of the mission of the University, electronic resources GA Library Online (GALILEO) statewide system for the University system of Georgia, and extensive knowledge of informational technologies and automate operations.

Qualifications: 

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Library Information Science from an ALA accredited program, PH. D preferred; a minimum of five years full tine experience in an academic library as director or associate director ; demonstrated success in academic library planning and administration with emphases on grant writing, demonstrated skills in oral written, and interpersonal communication.
