Assistant Professor - Electronic Engineering Technology
The Fort Valley State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Electronic Engineering Technology. The BSEET program is TAC/ABET accredited.
Major responsibilities include the following: a) full-time teaching undergraduate courses in EET especially in the areas of analog and digital electronics, programmable logic controllers, microprocessor, transmission lines and technology, microwave system technology, and design contents in EET courses; b) participate and contribute in the EET program outcome assessment and continuous improvement plan for ABET; c) serve in committees; d) student advisement and recruitment; e) laboratory development/improvement; f) professional development; and g)other duties that may be assigned.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.
The B.S. degree must be in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology. A minimum of three years of teaching and research experience in the U.S. and two years of industrial experience in the U.S. are required. Applicants must demonstrate strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, possess excellent communication skills, and have commitment for developing student technical abilities.
