Teach graduate courses required to obtain a master’s degree in the Rehabilitation Counseling and Case Management. And core courses for other programs.
Conduct research and proposal writing; academic advising; some committee work; Serve productively on department and institutional committees, continue research and professional development.
Ph. D. or Rh.D in Rehabilitation or Doctorate in a closely related area required. Candidates must be a Certified Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC) or eligible certification within two years. Certification in comparable areas will be considered. Successful teaching experience at the graduate level and record of professional and scholarly productivity are required. Candidates should have experience in serving a wide range of individuals with disabilities, graduate student recruitment, and a knowledge of vocation rehabilitation with a specialist in at least one of the following area: vocational evaluation an assessment, substance abuse, job development and placement, corrections, private or public sector rehabilitation, psychiatric rehabilitation, communication skills (i.e., sign language, visual impairment/ blind). A working knowledge of Web-CTY, VISTA or other Web based teaching tools and a strong commitment to develop an online program of Study and experience in delivering online instruction are desirable.
