The Accounting Manager will contribute to the integrity, maintenance and management of the FVSU Foundation, Inc., the FVSU Foundation Property, LLC, and the FVSU Wildcat Commons III, LLC through maintaining the Foundation’s financial records, developing the budget, and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

• Manages the day to day activities of all Foundation accounts, investments, and entities
• Manages the day to day activities of accounts for the FVSU Foundation Property, LLC and FVSU Wildcat Commons, LLC
• Reviews monthly reconciliations of all Foundation accounts, investments, and entities
• Prepares Foundation budget (in consultation with the Director)
• Prepares reports for account holders as requested
• Prepares Financial Reports for the FVSU Foundation Finance Committee and LLC Managers
• Assists with the annual audit
• Reviews, proofreads, and analyzes data for accuracy, logic and relevance
• Maintains information in a variety of formats including network files and digital images
• Performs other duties and assists with additional projects as requested

Qualifications: 

Minimum
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Three to five years related experience and/or training
• Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics
• Considerable knowledge of the principles of the office management and of modern office procedures, systems, and equipment
• Ability to understand complex concepts
• Capacity to process a large and diverse volume of data with a high level of accuracy
• Aptitude for understanding how information and business rules are structured
• Good organizational and administrative skills
Preferred
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• An advanced knowledge of accounting principles and relevant financial software (Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge and QuickBooks)
