The Facility Manager for the Agricultural Technology Conference Center (ATCC) will perform a variety of tasks associated with facilitating conferences, meetings and special events. The incumbent will work 40 hours per week on a rotating, flexible, schedule that may include extended workdays, weekends and holidays. The position reports to the Director of the ATCC. The facility manager is a member of a team designed to provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the center and the university.

Responsibilities: 

• Sets up and operates videoconferencing equipment, conference room sound system, video projection system and other AV equipment; ensures the equipment is working properly during an event
• Maintains all center equipment, keeps an inventory of equipment and suggests equipment that may be useful for the operation of the center
• Sets up and breaks down the conference room in preparation for events; this may include, but not limited to, arranging tables, chairs and props for center events
• Works with Plant Operations to maintain an orderly and sanitary facility; contacts external vendors as needed for the upkeep of the center
• Performs minor repairs
• Maintains the exterior of the facility and performs some lawn maintenance
• Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the center vehicle by working with the Vehicle Manager
• Assists with the duties of the Kitchen Manager as needed
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years related work experience
• Possess superb customer service skills and be a team player
• Must be dependable and physically able to perform the duties described above with minimal supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High level of professionalism with excellent communication skills
