Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology
The position is a 10-month, tenure-track appointment, and the salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Screening of applications will begin immediately, and continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2014.
Primary responsibilities include teaching freshman Biology, Vertebrate Histology and Embryology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, or related courses. Responsibilities also include initiating research related to biological problems and issues in the biological sciences, recruiting and advising students, serving on committees, and providing services to professional organizations, the University and the community.
• Ph.D. in zoology or biology to include courses in vertebrate physiology, genetics, vertebrate histology
• Three years of teaching and research experience in the U.S.
• Effective English communications (oral and written)
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching
