Fort Valley State University head tennis coach Willie Foster has announced that Roberta Robinson, a senior at Peach County High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play tennis for the Lady Wildcats next season. “Robinson is one of the top players in the state of Georgia and was highly recruited by many schools in both Division I and II,” stated Foster.
Foster is ecstatic about the addition of Robinson to his tennis roster. “Sometimes, it’s better to be lucky than good when it comes to recruiting. Roberta is a local talent, and I feel that her familiarity with Fort Valley State, along with her family’s, was a deciding factor as she considered her choices of schools. We feel that Roberta will definitely help put our women’s tennis program on top of the SIAC for the 2009 season.”
