The following information is for the orientation session scheduled for May 26, 2015.
Welcome to the FVSU Family!
We are excited that you have chosen to continue your educational endeavors at Fort Valley State University. As a member of the Class of 2018, know that you are not just enrolling at an institution of higher learning: you are now part of the Wildcat Family!
All new students (freshman and transfer) are required to attend an orientation session before enrolling in classes. The goal of the orientation program is to provide new students and parents with key information about Fort Valley State’s educational programs, support services, student life, familiarization of campus facilities and also meet other students who will be enrolling in the Fall. Staff and current students will be available to address questions and concerns and serve as ambassadors during your visit. By the end of the Summer Orientation Session, our hope is that students and parents are enthusiastically looking forward to becoming a part of the Wildcat Family and making the transition to our campus as comfortable as possible. During the Orientation Session, you will:
• Meet FVSU Staff and Current Student Ambassadors
• Meet Academic Advisors and confirm your class schedule
• Get your FVSU ID Card
• Learn about Housing, Financial Services, Health Services, Campus Safety, Student Activities
• Tour the Campus
In an effort to serve as best as we can, we ask that you and two guests attend the required Spring Orientation Session. Comfortable clothes and shoes are highly recommended. The session is FREE however, there is a fee for lunch and we encourage you to dine on campus.
We look forward to seeing you soon as you prepare to join the Wildcat Family!!
