New Wildcat Orientation

New students report on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

Student Leaders>

Greetings Wildcat,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Fort Valley State University! We hope that you are excited about your first semester and look forward to welcoming you into the Wildcat family!

When to Move In:

Please plan to arrive on campus and move into your residence hall on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Directions to campus can be found on our website at www.fvsu.edu. Once you get to the Wildcat Commons Residence Halls, volunteers will direct you to your building. You may also find your building ahead of time on a campus map.

In order to facilitate a smooth move-in experience for everyone, Campus Police will direct you as close as possible to your building. If you need additional assistance with University Housing, feel free to call the main office at (478) 825-6100 ahead of time. If you are a commuter student, report to the Blanchet CTM Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. for a new Wildcat orientation session.

Pack Your Belongings For Ease and Convenience:

Orientation Leaders and Volunteers will assist with your move into the residence halls, and because many other students will be moving in at the same time, it's a good idea to mark all belongings with your name, room number, and residence hall. Be sure to have all small items boxed for easy transfer. There is no storage available in the residence halls, so items should be packed in cardboard boxes that can be recycled, or in soft, foldable luggage that can be easily stored in a closet or under a bed. Stackable crates and organizers that fit under the bed can also work well.
