Overview for Orientation

Congratulations! Welcome to FVSU!

New Student Orientation (NSO) congratulates newly admitted FVSU students and looks forward to preparing them for their life as a Wildcat. Whether you are a first year or a transfer student, NSO will be an important yet enjoyable experience where you can get ready for both your in class and campus life experiences, meet current students, staff, and faculty, and begin friendships with other new students.

Wildcats, you are expected to have questions. New Student Orientation is geared towards helping you uncover the answers to the inquiries you may have and in providing you with information about various campus resources, initiatives, and services. Once you leave summer orientation, you’ll be on your way to becoming a successful student here at FVSU.

You will learn a lot about FVSU at Summer Orientation. The program is an opportunity for you to learn how to navigate throughout our massive campus and will introduce you to the Wildcat family. During these sessions, you will begin to build a network of resources that will springboard you on your path to academic greatness. At New Student Orientation, you will find out more about: FVSU’s rich history, the Center for Retention Services, BannerWeb, your fall schedule of classes, financial aid and scholarships, housing and meal plans, campus Life, clubs and organizations, and many other campus resources!
