Transfer Students are students who seek admission to the University after matriculating at a different institution.
As a Transfer applicant you should submit the following:
- A complete Application for Admission
- The required application fee ($20.00)
- A credit card is needed to apply on-line
- Mail in – a cashier’s check or money order only made payable to: Fort Valley State University
- A complete Certificate of Immunization form
- An official college transcript from each college attended
If less than 30 semester/45 quarter hours the following additional documents are required:
- Official SAT/ACT scores
- Official High School Transcript
Transfer students are considered for admission subject to certain conditions.
- Transfer from a fully accredited college or university.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or better (computed on all hours attempted at previously attended colleges and/or universities).
- Submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended.
- Be eligible to return to the college or university from which he/she is transferring (i.e. the student has not been dismissed for academic or other reasons).
- Must meet Freshman Requirements (as stated under Traditional Freshmen Requirements) if transferable hours are less than 30 semester/45 quarter hours.
