The university’s registrar is the official custodian of academic records and the keeper of the University Seal at Fort Valley State University. The general functions of this office include:

• Maintenance and security of student records
• Developing the academic calendar, semester schedule of classes and final examination schedules
• Administration of policies and regulations pertaining to the academic status of students
• Assisting in planning and executing academic policies and programs
• Planning and executing orderly registration and graduation of students
• Processing applications for readmittance into the university
• Coordinating and assisting with Banner Web functions
