Feb. 29, 2012 – Fort Valley State University has been approved for Regents’ Test exemption by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Effective immediately, completion of the Regents’ Test is no longer a graduation requirement for currently enrolled students. Students who have not taken or successfully passed the Regents’ Test are not required to take the test this semester (Spring Semester 2012). Please note that all students will be required to demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing through the use of diagnostic tests/ examinations, common essay examinations and specified tutorials or classes.
Students currently enrolled in required Regents’ prep courses; namely, ENGL 1107,ENGL 1108, RGTE 0199 and RGTR 0198 must continue attending class and successfully complete all course requirements. Students who fail to successfully complete the course requirements must repeat the course the next semester of enrollment.
