The Risk Management, Safety & Transportation Department at Fort Valley State University develops programs and provides oversight, consultation, training and other specialized services to assist the FVSU community in meeting its public health, occupational and research safety, environmental protection, transportation, and compliance responsibilities.
It is the goal of this department to be a highly-valued partner with all FVSU faculty, staff, and students to facilitate completion of their work in a safe and compliant manner.
There are many regulations concerning the use of state-owned vehicles for travel. The Risk Management, Safety & Transportation Department handles transportation for FVSU so that you don’t have to take extensive training, worry about the reliability of FVSU vehicles, or risk heavy fines if a state-owned vehicle is mismanaged.
