Selfies: Millennials present Solo Media Acts

Location: Founders Hall

Fort Valley State University’s Joseph Adkins Players (JAP) student drama group performs “one person shows” as a culmination of several acting/writing workshops. In these performances, students use the stage to experiment with capturing framing and sharing their personal stories.

Under the direction of Dr. Maisha S. Akbar, JAP performs on a “play-ground” of performance, scholarship and activism. The drama group is active in national organizations such as the Black Theatre Network and the National Communication Association. JAP’s organizational motto is “Saving the Drama for the Stage.”

The event is free and open to the public.
