Kendall D. Isaac, J.D., is the Chief of Staff at Fort Valley State University. In this capacity, he supports the President in project management and the execution of strategic initiatives while also providing supervision of the university human resources, legal affairs, campus safety and compliance offices. Prior to joining Fort Valley, he served as chief legal officer & chief human resources officer at Darton State College. His experience in higher education also encompasses several years as a law professor and director of graduate programs and special projects at Appalachian School of Law. As a professor, he authored numerous scholarly articles and presented his findings at conferences throughout the country. His professional career outside of academia encompasses practicing employment law, dispute resolution and workers’ compensation for a large regional law firm, as well as human resources and insurance claims management roles for Fortune 500 companies.
Isaac graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in rhetorical communications, from Capital University Law School with a J.D. and a concentration in labor and employment law, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in higher education administration from Columbus State University.
