Guest Speaker: Master Sergeant (Retired) Monique C. Washington Master Sergeant (Retired) Monique C. Washington, entered the U.S. Army in August 1989 as a 75D Personnel Records Specialist. She completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Her assignments include Personnel Records Specialist Fort Richardson, AK; Customer Service NCOIC Bamberg Germany; NCOIC Student Processing Division, Fort Huachuca, AZ; NCOIC Personnel Processing, Tripler Army Medical Ctr, HI; Brigade S-1, Fort Leonardwood, MO; Drill Sergeant, Fort Leonardwood, MO; Senior Human Resource Manager, Fort Benning, GA; First Sergeant, Fort Benning, GA; Battalion Operations Sergeant, Fort Benning, GA; ROTC Senior Military Instructor, Fort Valley, GA Master Sergeant Washington’s military and civilian education includes; Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Drill Sergeant Course and Resiliency Training Instructor. She has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University, a Bachelors degree from Western International University, an Associate degree from University of Anchorage Alaska and her certification as a Certified Fitness Trainer from International Sports Sciences Association. Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4th OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3rd OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4th OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, IRAQI Campaign Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Drill Sergeant Badge, German Armed Forces Expeditionary Badge (Bronze), Driver’s Badge with (wheel device), Army Superior Unit Award, and Joint Meritorious Unit Award. In addition she was awarded the Horatio Gates Medallion (Bronze and Gold) for the Adjutant General Corps, the Order of St Maurice (Legionnaire) for the National Infantry Association and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club Medallion. Master Sergeant (Retired)Washington is married to CSM Willie Washington, they have three lovely children Private First Class Willie III, Cadet Quintahl, and Ms Ariauna.
