Veterinary Technician

The Veterinary Technician will provide laboratory support services for courses in veterinary technology and perform routine laboratory tests as needed.


• Provide laboratory support services for courses in veterinary technology including animal anatomy and physiology, animal nursing and restraint, clinical chemistry and pathology, large animal techniques, diagnostic procedures
• Perform routine laboratory tests as needed
• Operate and maintain a variety of clinical laboratory and medical equipment
• Instruct students in proper animal handling techniques, vaccination protocols, treatments and surgical procedures
• Other duties as assigned


• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in veterinary technology or equivalent
• Practical experience in practice, research or teaching lab
• Veterinary Technician license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
