April 2, 2015 – Wildcats students can get a jump start and avoid the Fall registration rush by registering for their classes this spring. Early registration is underway for current FVSU students from March 24 until April 17. The campus is looking to enroll between 1,900 and 2,000 students before Fall semester.
“We’re giving our currently enrolled and continuing students – our sophomores, juniors and seniors – a chance to register early before the summer break and fall rush is on,” said Dr. Angela S. Harris, interim vice president of Fort Valley State University’s Office of Student Success & Enrollment Management.
According to Harris, juniors and seniors should visit their respective colleges and see the administrative assistants (of the degrees they are majoring in) or see their academic advisers to receive a new pin number. After getting the new pin, students will be able to register for their courses online, or they may make an appointment with their academic advisers to be advised and register for fall semester.
Freshmen and sophomores should meet with their academic advisers within the Center for Retention Services to be advised and register for fall semester.
“Students who register during “Early Registration” will have their Financial Aid process during late May. Therefore, they will know about their financial status sooner instead of waiting until August for regular registration, they’ll know sooner,” Harris said.
