Photography Request

Photography is a valuable aspect of the Fort Valley State University brand and helps tell our story.

The Office of Marketing and Communications offers photography services to capture the images you need to convey your specific message. Whether you want new campus photos for your department, images of your research project, an updated portrait, or photos of your event, we are here to help!

Our photographic style is largely photojournalistic and generally falls into one of four categories— Engagement, Moments, Environment and Portraits.

  • Engagement | our dynamic learning experience and the engagement between staff and students both in and out of the academic environment.
  • Moments | authentic relationships, candid moments, and organic activities. Evoke a friendly and inviting FVSU community.
  • Environment | the energy of our beautiful campus, the vibrancy of Middle Georgia, and the diversity of our university community.

Book a Photographer:

Just fill out the form below to request a photographer or photo session. Two weeks advance notice is required for booking. Please notify us as soon as possible if your event is canceled, postponed, or moved to an alternate location.

Marketing and Communications offers a Photo and Video Release Form for photography subjects to sign. This form authorizes FVSU to publish the photographs taken for use in university printed publications, university websites, and advertising.

Note: The photos taken by the Office of Marketing and Communications are the property of Fort Valley State University. Marketing and Communications reserves the right to use any image for its own purposes. 

Photography and Videography Request

All Photography Requests are subject to photographer availability at the requested time. Please place requests at least one week in advance of the shoot whenever possible, and allow 10 business days for turnaround unless otherwise indicated. NOTICE: The scope of services we provide has changed. We are no longer covering departmental assignments such as award ceremonies, speakers, dinners, receptions, group photos, conferences, student headshots, image scanning, and passport photos. Our primary mission centers on strategic initiatives that focus on capturing photos for the purpose of branding and marketing of the University through its home page, top-level social media accounts, top-level communications efforts, and admissions recruitment material originating from Admissions. All Video Requests are subject to videographer availability at the requested time. Please place requests at least two weeks in advance of the shoot whenever possible, and allow 10 business days for turnaround unless otherwise indicated. NOTICE! The scope of services we provide has changed. Our primary mission centers on externally-facing and consumer-focused video content to market the brand of FVSU. We no longer cover curriculum assignments, fraternity/sorority projects, educational videos, or departmental assignments such as award ceremonies, speakers, dinners, receptions, or conferences unless exempted by the Chief of Staff.
