History, Geography, Political Science & Criminal Justice

Greetings!

If you are interested in pursuing a career in education, politics, government, law, or law enforcement, the Fort Valley State University Department of History, Geography, Political Science, and Criminal Justice is the place for you.

The Department currently has over 200 majors pursuing degrees and nine full-time faculty members with various research interests. To date, departmental faculty members have authored nine books, published numerous scholarly articles and book reviews, and contributed to major reference works. They have served as consultants, presented papers at national professional conferences, and served on the editorial boards of academic journals.

In addition, the Department has designed its programs to meet the needs of both traditional and non-traditional students. Classes offerings are provided during the day, in the evening, and on the web.
