Here are some testimonials from some of our ROTC students.
Jesten Slaw
For me ROTC provides guidance, discipline, and something to strive for. It has made a great impact on my life and has giving me the strength and skills to lead others.
Myra Lee
ROTC has paid for part of my school and from it I have gained a new respect on the outlook of life. Also I have gained more discipline.

It was a way for me to experience the Army without being enlisted. And from the experience I have decided to go ahead and enlist. I am afraid of fear itself. But the most thing I am afraid of is death without remembrance. When I die I would like to be remembered for what I did.
2LT Derrick Howard
I joined ROTC to start a career as an officer and have a secure job. My plans after graduation are to start my career as an 2nd LT and grad school. One of my biggest challenges is time management. ROTC has helped me learn to delegate people and learn to have control. What I like most about ROTC is the fun we have as a family.
Stephanie Stone
After graduation hopefully I will become a 2nd Lt. and retire out of the Army after 20 years. What I love most about ROTC is the bond that we, the cadets have with our cadre. I feel that we can talk to them about almost anything.
1LT Jeremy Lewis
FVSU Army ROTC afforded me the opportunity to attend college and exercise my leadership potential. As a junior officer, I have served in such capacities as Fire Direction Officer, Maneuver Platoon Leader, and now Battery XO in a M109A6 Paladin Firing Battery (FA). I am currently serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, but the Fort Valley State University ARMY ROTC Wildcat Battalion molded me into an adaptable, flexible, and versatile leader, enabling me to meet today's urban warfare demands.
