Department Head and Professor - Behavioral Sciences
The Department Head and Professor of Behavioral Sciences will provide administrative oversight to the department, to include recruitment of faculty and students and development and recommendation of procedures related to matriculation, retention, and graduation of students. Responsibilities also include teaching, evaluation of faculty, securing external funding, conducting research relative to college/institutional/national priorities, and providing service to the profession, the university and the community.
A terminal degree in psychology, sociology, social work, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling or related fields; minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching and other scholarly activities are required. Supervisory or administrative experience; skills in online instruction; and experience with academic advisement are preferred. Excellent communication skills and familiarity with program accreditation preferred.
