Fort Valley State University's online Political Science Bachelor's Degree program has been named one of the nation's best college programs. Learn.org ranked the online program 23rd in the nation.

Learn.org evaluates schools on factors ranging from degree options, faculty, career resources, tuition costs and graduation rates to how schools provide their students with experiential learning opportunities. The organization found FVSU warranted a spot on the list of 23 institutions because it offers some of the best options for flexible start times, available concentrations, student resources, and/or unique learning opportunities.

Some of the other institutions included in the rankings were the University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, Central Michigan University, Kennesaw State University and the University of West Georgia. FVSU was the nation's only historically black college and university (HBCU) to make the list.

FVSU was also recently named Georgia's No. 1 Public HBCU for the third consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report and one of the Top 40 HBCUs nationally.
