CDEP Dual Degree Programs

FVSU-CDEP and its university partners have awarded 457 STEM degrees in the following disciplines: mathematics, engineering, chemistry, geology, geophysics, health physics, and biology.

CDEP offers dual degree STEM programs in a 3+3 format:

  • Academically talented students enroll at Fort Valley State University for the first three years and pursue a major in mathematics, chemistry, or computer science.
  • For the next 3 years, students pursue a master’s degree at one of CDEP’s partnering universities in engineering, geology, geophysics, or computer science.
  • Students earn a BS degree from Fort Valley State University and a MS, or PhD from one of CDEP’s partnering universities.

CDEP’s university partners consist of Fort Valley State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Grand Valley State University, Pennsylvania State University, University of Alabama, University of Arkansas, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, University of Oklahoma, and the University of Texas at Austin.
