FVSU Fab Lab

Embracing Innovation From All Starting Points

The Fab Lab is a digital fabrication lab open to FVSU students, K-12 students and educators, the public (including small busineesses, and entrepreneurs), and the Air Force community. We have a variety of machines such as CNC Routers, laser cutters, 3D printers, and a textiles suite. Our Fab Lab specialist and interns will help you bring your ideas to life.

Our Fab Lab is one of more than 2,900 around the world, all making up a network of makers from different backgrounds. The FVSU Fab Lab started in 2022 thanks to funding from Chevron and the Fab Foundation and is the first brick-and-mortar Chevron Fab Lab in the University System of Georgia and Middle Georgia school systems. We are also proud to serve as the first HBCU Chevron Fab Lab.

At the FVSU Fab Lab, we believe that everyone has the potential to be a maker. Our fully equipped fabrication lab provides a unique learning experience for students of all ages. We offer project-based learning that fosters creativity and critical thinking, while utilizing the principles of STEAM education. Our programs are designed to inspire curiosity and ignite a passion for digital design and fabrication.

Help us offer this for FREE to the Middle Georgia community at large:

*K-12 students, K-12 educators, FVSU students and staff utilize the lab for free, thanks to our corporate sponsors.*
