Hailing from Fairburn, Georgia, Hailey Bracey has made her mark at Fort Valley State University both on the field and in the classroom. An Animal Science major and a four-year softball standout, Hailey is set to graduate in Spring 2025, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, service and ambition.

Hailey, the daughter of William and Kimberly Bracey, has spent her time at FVSU balancing a demanding academic schedule with athletic commitments and leadership roles. A consistent member of the SIAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team since her freshman year, she was named the Female Athlete with the Highest GPA for the 2022-2023 academic year. Her dedication earned her the prestigious SIAC Elite 14 Award for student-athletes who achieve the highest academic success in championship sports.

A proud member of the Honors Program for three years, Hailey has received numerous accolades for her academic performance, including the FVSU Presidential Excellence Scholarship, the Al Knox Scholarship, the 1890 Scholarship and the NOPBNRCSE James Tatum Scholarship.

This fall, Hailey will begin a new chapter at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, her top-choice graduate school, where she aims to become a leader in animal healthcare. “I want to be the future of animal medicine and help animals have an easier life,” she shares.

Her passion for service extends beyond the classroom. In Spring 2023, Hailey was initiated into the Delta Beta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and serves as the chapter’s president for the 2024-2025 academic year. She was also selected as Miss Second Attendant on the Royal Court, reflecting her poise, leadership and campus presence.
