Office of TRIO College Access Programs

The Office of TRIO College Access Program is comprised of two Federally funded programs, TRIO Student Support Services and TRIO McNair Scholars. The Student Support Services project (SSS) serves 140 enrolled students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or have a documented disability and have an academic need. The intent of the SSS project is to increase graduation and retention rates for the institution. The TRIO McNair project serves 25 enrolled students who have met sophomore status or higher. These students would also qualify as first-generation, low-income, or they will come from populations underrepresented in graduate studies. The intent of the McNair program is to provide participants with opportunities to participate in high quality research activities, facilitate their preparation and entrance into graduate school, and track their progress toward attaining a Doctoral degree.

We offer:

  • Tutorial services
  • Academic success skills workshops, college & personal development workshops
  • Faculty and peer mentoring
