Fort Valley State University is pleased to announce that the 2020 graduates will be celebrated in person this fall on the campus of Fort Valley State University on November 28. We know how important this accomplishment is and want to provide a safe and celebratory experience for you and your loved ones.

Fall Commencement will feature two ceremonies, including one for the College of Arts & Sciences and another for the College of Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology and the College of Education and Professional Studies, which will allow social distancing.

"We are continuously adapting and reexamining how to safely engage at Fort Valley State amid COVID-19," said President Paul Jones. "We understand how meaningful our on-campus commencements are to our graduates as they walk across the stage to the applause and celebration of their family and friends. We are confident our plans to bring back a time-honored tradition as a face-to-face experience follows all needed public health guidelines and best practices."

Along with requiring everyone in attendance to wear masks, the ceremonies will also call for social distancing and temperature checks upon entry.

For those who do not feel comfortable participating in person, the ceremonies will be streamed on the university's webpage and via social media. More information on the specifics regarding the ceremonies will be made available soon on the University's webpage www.fvsu.edu/commencement.
