Returning Student Move-In

Dear Returning FVSU Students, Parents, and Families,

We are excited to welcome you to campus for the 2026–2027 academic year! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable move-in experience for everyone, we have organized arrival times by building and floor. Please review your assigned time window below and plan accordingly.

Move-In Days & Buildings

Please note your building assignment and the corresponding move-in day:
•    Thursday, August 6, 2026 — Buildings WC1 and WC3
•    Friday, August 7, 2026 — Buildings WC2 and WC5
•    Sunday, August 3, 2026 — Legacy Hall (Nursing Program students only)

If you are enrolled in the Nursing Program and assigned to Legacy Hall, you are eligible to move in early on Sunday, August 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. All other returning students will move in on August 6 or 7 per their building assignment above. Proof of financial clearance is required regardless of move-in date.

•    Ohio Hall Thursday or Friday, August 6th and 7th beginning at 9 am. 4:30 pm

Your Assigned Arrival Time

Because each building has a single elevator, we have staggered arrival times by floor to keep things moving efficiently and comfortably. Please arrive during your floor's designated window — arriving early or late may delay everyone.

Financial Clearance Requirement

Move-In Day for Fall 2026 is scheduled for August 3–7, 2026 (August 3 for Nursing Program/Legacy Hall; August 6–7 for all other returning students). We ask that you arrive during your appointed time window. You must provide proof of financial clearance to move into your assigned room.

Financial Aid, the Bursar's Office, Admissions, Housing and Residential Life, ID Office, and Advising will have offices set up at the Jones Student Center Ballroom on August 4 - 5, 2026, in Pettigrew Center on August 6-7, 2026, and in the Wilcat Clubhouse on August 8, 2026 to assist you. 

Late Arrivals

•    Students who cannot arrive during their assigned hours but have proof of financial clearance may arrive on campus for move-in no later than 7:00 PM.
•    Students who cannot provide evidence of clearance may arrive no later than 4:30 PM daily (during university business hours).
•    Students wishing to move in during the weekend must be able to provide proof of financial clearance, as no university offices will be open to assist.

What to Expect on Move-In Day

•    Staff and Resident Advisors will be stationed at each building entrance and elevator to assist you.
•    Carts and dollies are available at the front desk — please return them promptly so other families can use them.
•    Please allow extra time if you have a large number of items. We recommend multiple trips rather than overfilling the elevator.
•    Parking information and lot assignments will be included in separate communication.
