Procedures for starting a VA folder

Getting Started

  • For a first-time student, the certification process takes 6 to 8 weeks.
  • A student must maintain a 2.00 GPA (subject to probation if the GPA drops below 2.0).
  • A student that has attended another institution and VA benefits were used, please provide transcripts from all schools attended.
  • A class schedule must be submitted to the VA Certifying Official every semester.
  • If a student withdraws or drops a course during a semester, the student must notify the VA Certifying Official immediately.
  • A valid I.D. must be presented every semester to the VA Certifying Official.
