Objective: Ensure 100% of activities are designed to address one or more of FVSU’s Strategic Priorities by providing technical assistance to activity directors in aligning activities to the University’s Strategic Plan and writing measurable objectives and performance indicators.
● PI 1.1: Activity Directors will engage in at least two (2) review meetings or evaluations annually.
● PI 1.2: Activity Directors will submit four (4) quarterly progress reports, including identification of issues that must be addressed to ensure the attainment of programmatic outcomes.
● PI 1.3: Activity Directors will submit four (4) quarterly time and effort reports annually.
● PI 1.4: Three (3) reports (Phase I Data Report, Phase II Data Report, and Annual Performance Report) will be submitted each budget period, prior to the deadline.
Objective: To ensure that at least six (6) academic facilities are rehabilitated via maintenance and renovation of classrooms to include the purchase or rental of telecommunications equipment by September 30, 2025.
● PI 1.1: Facilities rehabilitated include: (a) Hubbard Education Building, (b) Bond Academic Building, (c) O’Neal Vet Tech, (d) Health and Physical Education academic space, (e) Academic Classroom Building, (f) Computer Technology and Math Building, and other classroom instructional facilities as deemed necessary by the institution.
Objective: To promote Fort Valley State University students’ academic and professional success through the development of the Undergraduate Research Academy and the Valley Scholars Program by September 30, 2025.
● PI 1.1: The number of students applying to undergraduate research internships will increase by 10% (2.5% each year) over the 2021–2025 grant period.
● PI 1.2: The number of students participating in research internships will increase by 8% (2% each year) over the 2021–2025 grant period.
Objective: To develop and bring into operation one (1) equipped and operational nanotechnology laboratory at FVSU by September 30, 2025.
● PI 1.1: Spread awareness and provide hands-on experience in nanotechnology to at least 55 students enrolled in STEM disciplines by September 30, 2025.
● PI 1.2: During the grant period (2021–2025), 50 students (10 each year) will have received nanotechnology training and 5 senior research projects will be completed.
● PI 1.3: A total of 5 student and 5 faculty/staff presentations will be made from experimental research data in professional society meetings/conferences by September 30, 2025.
● PI 1.4: Approximately 200 students will be acquainted with nanotechnology by September 30, 2025.
