• Presenter at the First Annual Conference on Youth Violence. This conference gave me the opportunity to speak to youth about making good decisions with regard to the many pressures that they are faced with in the environment. Attended Psychology Advisory Committee Meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to gather with other professors in the discipline of Psychology and utilize a round table platform to discuss issues pertinent to the instruction of Psychology. PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

Research Interests
Research interests include all matters related to stress and quality of life. The presence of stress and stress-related illnesses among caregiver populations is also an area of focus. My dissertation research was entitled “Perception of Parenthood as a Moderator between Typically Developing Children and Caregiver Quality of Life.” This quantitative research hypothesized that those parents with typically developing children in addition to a special needs child would have a greater perception of parenthood and quality of life when compared to those parents with a special needs child and no other children.
Teaching Interests
Teaching interests include a vast majority of bachelor’s level psychology courses. These include Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality, Behavioral Statistics, Psychology of Religion, Conflict Resolution, and Mental Well-Being and Aging. While these are not all classes taught, they do represent those preferred.
