Message from President Paul Jones on the Temporary Suspension of Classes

by Pamela Berry-Johnson

Posted on Mar 12, 2020

Dear Campus Community,

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all University System of Georgia institutions will temporarily suspend instruction for two weeks to allow time for FVSU and other USG institutions to test their business continuity plans and online instruction modules and for state officials to continue to assess the current situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia.

Students who are currently on Spring Break are strongly encouraged not to return to campus. Students on campus are asked to depart campus by the close of business Friday, March 13, 2020, and to remain away from campus until March 29, 2020. For students who are unable to move out by that time, the University will provide continuing accommodation on campus upon application to Campus Life. All campus activities and events will also be suspended during this transitional time.

Further instructions to students and faculty on FVSU's academic continuity plan will be provided by the provost in future updates. Use the link below to check for online updates as they happen.

For here for ongoing updates.
