Patrice R. Terrell

Patrice R. Terrell is director of contracts and compliance at Fort Valley State University. In this role, Ms. Terrell is responsible for the review and management of all institutional contracts and policies, and addressing ethics issues.  Ms. Terrell also serves as FVSU’s Title IX coordinator and open records officer. With more than 19 years of experience in policy administration and guidance, EEO/affirmative action, diversity and inclusion, and compliance administration.

Prior to coming to FVSU, Mrs. Terrell was the associate director of employee relations at Georgia College & State University.  In that capacity, her primary responsibilities included but were not limited to the oversight of compliance activities relating to ADAAA, EEO, leave administration, Drug and Alcohol program and Workers’ Compensation, and the investigation of ethical concerns. While at Georgia State College & Statue University, she also served as associate director of human resources operations, human resources administrator for facilities operation and planning, associate director of employment, and associate director of equity and diversity. She also chaired the Multicultural Organization that Values Empowerment Committee.

Mrs. Terrell also brings over ten years of contract experience serving as the business operations manager for a private company in Eatonton, GA.

A native of Georgia, Mrs. Terrell attended Georgia College where she received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in public administration, with a concentration in employment law. She is the president of the Putnam County Head Start Policy Council, and has been a member of American Associates for Affirmative Action.
