Director of Academic Counseling & Disability Services

• Manage the progress of students counseling, but not limited to development learning strategies, self-advocacy, organizational skills, time management, conflict resolution and social communication skills.


• Administer, collect and analyze program outcomes (tracking usage, satisfaction with initiatives, and impact on student retention and success).


• Review and assess test results for students who have been diagnosed with a disability (mental and physical) and create educational and treatment plans with reasonable accommodations that will ensure that students with a disability or with multiple disabilities can matriculate at the University and meet the requirements of the curriculum in their respective major and  graduate in a timely period.


• Collaborates with faculty in the academic department in monitoring the class attendance, course enrollment, and the successful achievement of specialized departmental requirements of each student.


• Coordinates in-service training and orientation programs for administration, faculty, and staff which focus on the awareness and provision of academic support and accommodating students with disabilities.
