Veterinary Science and Public Health
FVSU has the only AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) accredited four-year Veterinary Technology program in Georgia. The Veterinary Technology major helps students become highly knowledgeable in laboratory and clinical procedures, care and handling of animals, basic principles of normal and abnormal life processes, and how to become an integral member of the veterinary healthcare team. FVSU’s Veterinary Technology program is designed to give students a broad-based background in basic sciences and pharmaceutical calculations as well as veterinary disciplines.
