Students, family members, and guests are invited to attend Fort Valley State University's Fall 2026 Commencement exercises on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at 9 a.m. We want to extend our congratulations to the graduating students and their families on this momentous occasion.
Tickets will be required to enter HPE. Graduates will be issued digital tickets for Commencement. Children aged 3 years and younger do not require tickets. The FVSU Clear Bag Policy will be enforced.

Commencement Information
Cap and Gown Information
- Cap & Gown Ordering Deadline
- The deadline to order is Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST.
- At 12:00 AM EST, the site will close for standard orders and reopen for late orders.
- Students should allow approximately 4 weeks for delivery after placing their order by October 30, 2026, and will arrive to the address provided during checkout.
- Announcements, Accessories, and Frames purchased will be direct shipped to the student’s home and arrive separately.
- Late Orders with Rush Shipping
- The website will reopen on October 31, 2026, for late orders with rush shipping.
- The final rush shipping deadline is Friday, November 13, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST.
- The website will automatically close at 12:00 AM EST.
- Students can expect delivery in approximately 2 weeks with rush shipping.
- Ceremony Information
Please double-check the ceremony information to confirm accuracy.
Additional Products
Students may continue ordering announcements, accessories, rings, and frames through the ceremony date, even after the cap and gown deadlines.

- Line-up: 8:15 a.m. at HPE Complex
- Processional: Begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday, May 7, 2026 (2–4 p.m.)

Honor cords for GPA 3.25+
Financial & Loan Requirements
- Clear all balances with Bursar
- Complete exit counseling
Dress Code
- Females: Black/dark attire, low heels
- Males: White shirt, black tie
Photography
Submit reader card by December 1
Arrival & Parking
- Enter via Ira Hicks Blvd
- Park in HPE lot
